Michael Caulfield

On April 15th 2011 at 6.30am, father of four Michael Caulfield died when James Thompson hit him in a lorry while turning left onto Ormeau Bridge.

At an inquest the driver claimed to have checked his mirrors and believed the road was clear when turning.

Northern Irelands first ghost bike was erected at the scene by an annonymous mourner to mark Michaels death.

Michael is survived by his wife, Bernadette, and his four children.
